On Sunday, August 23, it will be warm in Ukraine, and in some places—very hot. Several regions will see brief showers and thunderstorms in the morning, while in the southeast, temperatures will rise to +35…+37°.
According to the forecast by the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, brief showers and thunderstorms are possible in the morning in most central and northern regions, as well as in the Odesa and Mykolaiv regions. Meanwhile, no precipitation is expected during the day in the rest of the country. The wind will be predominantly from the northwest, with speeds of 5–10 m/s.
Where It Will Be Hottest
In the western and northern regions, as well as in Vinnytsia Oblast, daytime temperatures will range from +21 to +26°.
In the rest of the country, temperatures will rise to +27…+32°.
The most intense heat is expected in the southeast, where temperatures may reach +35…+37°.
What will the weather be like in Kyiv?
No precipitation is forecast for the capital or Kyiv Oblast. Daytime temperatures in Kyiv will be around +25°, while in Kyiv Oblast they will range from +21° to +26°. Winds in the capital will also be from the northwest, at 5–10 m/s.
So, for most regions, Sunday will be warm and mostly dry, but residents of the southeast should prepare for a real summer heatwave. The Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center reported this on Facebook.
