Capital investments in Ukraine rose by nearly 10%
In the first half of 2026, capital investment in Ukraine reached 307.9 billion hryvnia. This is 9.9% more than in the same period of 2025.
According to published data, the largest share of funds in the first half of the year was allocated to industry—121.5 billion UAH (39.5% of the total)—and agriculture, forestry, and fisheries—35.0 billion UAH (11.4%). Wholesale and retail trade accounted for 29.6 billion hryvnia (9.6%), and construction—26.2 billion hryvnia (8.5%).
By asset type, the overwhelming majority of capital investments went toward tangible assets—94.5%. Specifically, 36.1% of all funds were invested in machinery, equipment, and inventory; 22.4% in civil engineering structures; 11.4% in nonresidential buildings; and 10.7% in vehicles. The share of investments in intangible assets amounted to 5.5%.
From a regional perspective, Kyiv remains the undisputed leader in terms of the volume of funds attracted, with 128.5 billion hryvnias, or 41.7% of the national total.
