The Cabinet of Ministers will review the rules for working during alerts and curfews
Ukrainian Prime Minister Serhiy Koretskyi announced that the government is preparing changes to work arrangements during prolonged air raid alerts. There are also plans to review current approaches to curfews.
According to Koretsky, he delivered a report today at a meeting with the president on two important issues. One of them concerns adapting the operations of the state, the capital, the economy, and critical infrastructure to the new tactics of Russian attacks.
“Following an expanded meeting I held today with the Commander-in-Chief, the Minister of Internal Affairs, the State Emergency Service, the Mayor of Kyiv, and representatives of the Office of the President and the National Security and Defense Council, we are developing specific proposals on how to adapt the state’s operations to the new conditions,” the statement reads.
He emphasized that prolonged alerts affect not only people’s safety but also the operations of businesses, logistics, transportation, schools, kindergartens, and other areas of life.
“The enemy is trying to paralyze economic activity in the capital and major cities, which is why our approaches and response protocols must change,” Koretsky emphasized.
In this regard, work is underway on solutions regarding the operation of businesses and institutions during various types of threats, the organization of logistics and transportation, and the operation of the metro and other infrastructure facilities, with the aim of better protecting people and preserving their ability to live in cities and communities.
“Separately, we plan to review our approaches to curfews and civilian access to more timely information about airborne threats—without posing additional security risks. All relevant services and agencies are working on a comprehensive and well-founded approach. We plan to finalize the necessary proposals early next week, present them to the public, and move forward with implementation,” the prime minister said.
Regarding the second issue that Koretsky reported to the president, he announced that at an extraordinary meeting, the Cabinet of Ministers will adopt a decision to allocate funds from the reserve fund to support and compensate those affected by the tragedy in the Bucha district. This refers to the village of Mila, where Russian forces struck warehouses, triggering a massive fire and explosions.

The Cabinet of Ministers proposes to classify the financial disclosures of individuals working in the interests of national security.
As a reminder, the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) has launched unscheduled audits of Sense Bank due to possible interference with financial monitoring.
Searches are also being conducted at Sense Bank as part of a special anti-corruption operation by the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAPO).
The Cabinet of Ministers has suspended the powers of the chairman of Sense Bank’s supervisory board.
