What is the “Community Police Officer” project?

Selection and Training of Community Officers

Community police officers undergo a special competitive selection process. During the selection, not only the candidates’ professional skills are evaluated, but also their motivation, responsibility, integrity, and communication skills.

After successfully passing the competition, candidates undergo special training that lasts 75 days. Upon completion of the training, officers receive a certificate and begin service in their communities.

As of April 2023, 1,298 community police officers were working in 23 regions of Ukraine.

• pump-action shotguns;
• hydraulic cutters;
