Bank Puts Stadium and Shopping Center in Dnipro Up for Sale
PrivatBank plans to put large properties seized in Dnipro back up for sale. Among the assets that may be sold are the “Dnipro-Arena” stadium and the “Priozernyi” shopping center.
The sale will take place as part of the disposal of assets owned by the bank. Currently, these properties are among the largest assets that PrivatBank plans to put up for sale.
“In accordance with the government’s updated Main (Strategic) Directions for the Activities of State-Owned Banks, state-owned banks must more actively reduce the share of non-performing assets and dispose of property not related to core banking activities,” the statement reads.
Consequently, PrivatBank will sell all repossessed properties received in settlement of non-performing loans prior to nationalization.
All properties will be sold exclusively through open Prozorro auctions. Individuals subject to sanctions, those with a history of corruption offenses, and those affiliated with oligarchs or offshore entities with opaque ownership structures will be barred from participating.
By the end of the year, the bank will put up for auction the largest properties from its portfolio of foreclosed assets: "Dnipro-Arena," the "Pryozernyi" shopping center, and a number of properties used in the operations of the "Bukovel" resort and the Radisson and "Gurtozhytok" hotel complexes.
PrivatBank notes that the sale of the foreclosed properties will reduce maintenance costs, improve the bank’s financial performance, and increase revenue for the state budget through taxes and dividends.
