Belenyuk confirmed negotiations for a fight with Tishchenko under MMA rules
Olympic Greco-Roman wrestling champion and Member of Parliament Zhan Beleniuk stated that a potential MMA-style bout with Mykola Tyshchenko is a serious proposal, not a joke. According to him, the parties are already engaged in preliminary negotiations.
Belenyuk explained that the idea arose after a high-profile incident involving Tishchenko, when, following a VAKS meeting, Tishchenko tried to catch up with a man who had thrown tomatoes at him. At that time, the athlete noticed his colleague’s physical conditioning and suggested that such a match could generate significant interest among Ukrainians.
According to Belenyuk, his team is already in contact with Tishchenko’s representatives regarding the possibility of staging the fight. At the same time, he noted that the lawmaker is currently going through a difficult period due to criminal proceedings, but he is ready to move toward concrete agreements if Tishchenko agrees.

Beleniuk himself is set to make his professional mixed martial arts debut in the near future. He will have his first MMA fight at the Kyiv Palace of Sports against former Bellator fighter Haim Gozali. After that, it may become clear whether the story of a potential match against Tishchenko will continue.
