Berlin called for no pressure to be exerted regarding the appointment of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
Maria Berlinska, a volunteer and head of the Aerial Reconnaissance Support Center, stated that the appointment of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine should not be made under public pressure, as this could lead to chaos and weaken the state during wartime.
According to her, citizens have the right to express their views on the government’s actions, but demanding the appointment of a specific person to the post of Commander-in-Chief through street protests sets a dangerous precedent.
Berlinska also expressed the view that Russia is attempting to exploit the debates surrounding personnel decisions to fuel internal divisions in Ukraine.
Separately, she criticized public insults directed at Ukrainian military leaders, in particular Oleksandr Syrskyi, Ihor Klymenko, and Yevhen Khmara, highlighting their combat experience and contributions to the country’s defense.
In conclusion, the volunteer called for unity and collaboration in the pursuit of victory, stressing that Ukraine cannot afford to lose effective commanders during the war.

So far, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the Office of the President, and the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have not publicly commented on this parliamentary initiative. It is also unclear whether the necessary number of votes will be gathered for the motion to become an official appeal from the Verkhovna Rada to the head of state.
