Budanov stated that the public’s views had been heard and called on Ukrainians to remain calm
Kirill Budanov, Head of the Office of the President, responded to the protests that erupted following personnel changes in the military leadership. He stated that the government had heard the public’s concerns and called on Ukrainians to remain calm and prevent internal conflicts.
According to him, the recent internal changes have stirred strong emotions, but citizens’ concern is the force that helps Ukraine endure.
“Civic engagement is the force that has sustained our state all these years. The public’s position has been heard,” he emphasized.
Budanov noted that the situation is being resolved “professionally, constructively, and in the best interests of the state.” He also called for public discourse to remain peaceful and free of provocations that could harm national security.
The Head of the Presidential Office separately appealed to Ukrainians, asking them “not to hate on anyone.” According to him, Russia is closely monitoring internal disputes in Ukraine and trying to exploit them for its own interests.
“I’ll say this directly to our enemies: you won’t get what you’re waiting for. Let’s focus on our shared victory. Ukraine will definitely emerge stronger from this situation,” Budanov stated.

As a reminder, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a series of meetings with commanders of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, during which they discussed the situation on the front lines and the coordination of the Defense Forces’ actions.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stated that reports of the alleged dismissal of Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi are untrue.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is reportedly considering replacing Oleksandr Syrskyi, Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. This was reported by the Financial Times, citing a senior official in the Office of the President whose name was not disclosed.
