The State Bureau of Investigation is investigating allegations of abuse of authority by law enforcement officers in Kropyvnytskyi
Officials from the State Bureau of Investigations opened a criminal investigation after a video surfaced on social media showing what appeared to be the unlawful use of force by law enforcement officers.
The footage shows members of the emergency response team forcibly pulling a taxi driver out of the car. Law enforcement officers also use force against a female passenger and direct profanity at her.
SBI investigators are establishing all the circumstances of the incident and verifying the legality of the law enforcement officers’ actions.
The investigation was opened under Part 2 of Article 365 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine—abuse of authority or official powers by a law enforcement officer. The penalty under this article provides for up to 8 years of imprisonment.

Ukrainian law enforcement officials are investigating the possible involvement of Gleb Novostroyny, a veteran of the KRAKEN unit, in the murder of Igor Komarov in Indonesia. According to sources, the investigation has established that Novostroyny was on the island of Bali during the same period as Denis Galushko, who has been placed on an international wanted list.
