Ukreximbank is suspending pension and social assistance payments to cards
Starting October 1, JSC “Ukreximbank” will stop paying pensions and social assistance to cards. Bank customers who did not submit the appropriate application by September 15 may no longer receive their usual payments to their cards.
The Pension Fund of Ukraine is officially ending its cooperation with the state-owned JSC “Ukreximbank” regarding the servicing of citizens’ social accounts. The decision takes effect on October 1, 2026.
This means that funds for October and subsequent months will no longer be deposited onto cards issued by this bank. Recipients must arrange for new account details in advance.
To ensure uninterrupted payments, citizens must select any other institution from the official list of authorized banks.
After opening an account, you must submit an application to the Pension Fund of Ukraine (PFU) to change your payment method. There are two ways to do this:
- remotely, through your personal account on the PFU’s e-services portal;
- in person, by visiting the nearest PFU service center.
Citizens who did not manage to update their bank details by the specified deadline need not worry—the accrued funds will be fully preserved.
The Pension Fund will not suspend benefit payments. All money transfers for such recipients will be automatically routed through branches of JSC “Ukrposhta” at the pensioner’s actual place of residence or registration.
