Demchenko named the most popular border crossing points among violators
The section of the Ukrainian border with Romania remains the area where border guards most frequently detect attempts at illegal crossings. The border with Moldova ranks second. At the same time, the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine has not observed an increase in the number of such attempts recently.
Andriy Demchenko, a spokesperson for the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, explained which sections of the border are most frequently targeted by unauthorized crossings. According to him, border guards record the highest number of such cases along the border with Romania. The border with Moldova ranks second.
Demchenko discussed this during a televised marathon, answering a question about where attempts to illegally cross the state border occur most frequently. “Traditionally, it’s the section of the border with Romania. We record the highest number of violators precisely in this section of the border. In second place is the border with Moldova,” said the State Border Guard Service spokesperson.
In other areas, the number of such cases is significantly lower. Demchenko noted that the situation varies depending on the specific section of the border, but Romania and Moldova remain the main areas where border guards detect violators. At the same time, the State Border Guard Service has not reported a new surge in such attempts. According to Demchenko, the number of cases has not been increasing recently. “At the same time, fortunately, we have not recorded an increase in the number of attempts recently,” added the spokesperson for the State Border Guard Service.
Thus, according to the State Border Guard Service, the Romanian border section accounts for the largest number of attempts to illegally cross the Ukrainian border. The border with Moldova ranks second. At the same time, border guards are not currently observing an increase in the overall number of such attempts.
