A sharp drop in temperatures is expected in Ukraine, according to weather forecasters

Thursday and Friday will be the last warm days of the week. A sharp drop in temperatures is expected as early as Saturday, and there remains a risk of avalanches in the Carpathians.

This was reported by meteorologist Natalka Didenko and the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center.

On Friday, temperatures will still be above freezing:

  • +12...+18°C – in most regions of Ukraine
  • +8...+11°C – in the Kharkiv, Sumy, and Poltava regions
  • +15°C – in Kyiv

Rain is possible in some areas in the east of the country; no precipitation is expected in the rest of the territory.

The Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center confirms that precipitation will occur in the Luhansk, Sumy, and Kharkiv regions. Forecasters warn that temperatures will drop significantly on Saturday.

A separate warning applies to mountainous areas: on March 26–27, due to a thaw in the highlands of Zakarpattia Oblast, a significant avalanche hazard is expected—Level 3. The northeastern and northwestern mountain slopes are at risk.

Warm and sunny weather will continue to delight Ukrainians for a few more days, but by the end of the month, weather conditions will deteriorate significantly.

On Thursday, March 26, Ukraine will experience warm and pleasant weather, but by late March–early April, a cold snap and increased wet weather are expected.
