In particular, the first Sunday in June this year marks the Days of Local Industry Workers, Water Management Workers, and Land Reclamation Workers.
The global community is also drawing attention today to food safety, awareness of Tourette syndrome, and support for people who have overcome cancer.
On this day, Orthodox believers honor the Day of Remembrance of Saint Theodotus, Bishop of Ancyra, a holy martyr who lived in the 4th century during a time of brutal persecution of Christians.
For his devotion to Christ, his support of the persecuted, and his aid to the families of martyrs, he suffered severe torture. Around the year 303, the bishop was executed by beheading with a sword.
For the Ukrainian manufacturing and logistics sector, today is rich in professional holidays. Local Industry Workers’ Day, established by a presidential decree in 2002, brings together specialists who manufacture clothing, footwear, furniture, and building materials.
At the same time, water management workers and land reclamation specialists celebrate their day; they manage rivers, reclaim land, and protect the population from floods and droughts.
Internationally, they are joined by logistics professionals, who celebrate International Supply Chain Professionals Day.
In the medical and social calendar, June 7 is marked as International Cancer Survivors Day. This day is dedicated to patients, their families, and doctors to show that life after a diagnosis is possible.
At the same time, events are taking place around the world to mark World Verneuil’s Disease Day—a chronic inflammatory condition of the sweat glands—and International Turette Syndrome Awareness Day, which aims to break down stereotypes surrounding people with uncontrollable tics.
