Zelenskyy arrived in Chisinau for Moldova’s Independence Day
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived in the Moldovan capital at the invitation of Maia Sandu to mark the country’s Independence Day.
He will first hold bilateral talks with the President of Moldova, after which Romanian President Nicușor Dan will join the meeting.
Following the talks, the leaders of the three countries will issue joint statements to the media.

The “Tabaki” international border crossing on the border between Ukraine and Moldova has resumed operations following a Russian airstrike. Border crossing operations are once again proceeding as usual. Ukrainian border guards have informed the Moldovan side of the resumption of operations.
On the morning of August 22, a drone illegally entered Moldovan airspace. This occurred following a large-scale Russian attack on Ukraine overnight. The Moldovan Ministry of Defense preliminarily believes the drone was a Shahed 138.
