Prosecutors from the Office of the Prosecutor General have filed indictments against three employees of the so-called “Correctional Colony No. 4” in the Donetsk region.
Among the accused are two junior inspectors and an inspector from the supervision and security department of the so-called Kalininsky Colony.
According to the investigation, between 2022 and 2024, they systematically tortured Ukrainian prisoners of war and civilians.
The victims were beaten with rubber batons, hands, feet, and other objects, with violence used to intimidate and humiliate them.
The indictments were sent to the Pechersky District Court of Kyiv on March 31.
The defendants’ actions were classified under Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine—violation of the laws and customs of war.
