Exchange Rates for August 26: How Much Are the Dollar and the Euro Worth?

The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) has set the official exchange rates for Wednesday, August 26, 2026. 

Compared to the previous banking day, August 25, there were no significant changes.

According to official NBU data, the exchange rates for major foreign currencies are as follows:

  • U.S. dollar – 44.67 UAH;
  • euro – 52.08 UAH;
  • Polish zloty – 12.09 UAH.

At the same time, over the past week, the U.S. dollar, the euro, the British pound, the Swiss franc, and the Polish zloty have appreciated.

Thus, as of August 26, 2026, the official exchange rate of the hryvnia against major foreign currencies remains relatively stable on a daily basis, although the value of several currencies has risen over the past week.

Note that the NBU’s official exchange rate and currency prices at banks and exchange offices may differ.

On August 26, the National Bank lowered the official exchange rates for major currencies. 

On the morning of August 25, the dollar was selling for an average of 44.85 UAH at currency exchange offices, and the euro for 52.25 UAH. At banks, the average selling rate for the dollar is about 44.95 UAH, while the NBU’s official rate is 44.71 UAH.
