McDonald’s in Bukovel Surprised Customers with Its Prices on Popular Menu Items
The first McDonald’s at the Bukovel resort opened on September 12 in the village of Polianytsia in Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast. The new restaurant immediately attracted attention not only because of its opening but also because of its prices: some popular menu items cost more than 300 hryvnias, and certain items cost more than 400.
On September 12, the first McDonald’s located directly within the Bukovel resort began operations in the village of Polianytsia in Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast. The restaurant became a new location for the chain in one of Ukraine’s most popular tourist destinations.
However, after the opening, online discussions weren’t limited to the restaurant itself. Users took notice of the prices at the new McDonald’s and began comparing them to the cost of the same menu in other cities. In particular, people compared prices in Bukovel and neighboring Yaremche. It turned out that at the new restaurant in Polyanytsia, some popular items cost significantly more.
How Much Does McDonald’s Cost in Bukovel
As of September 14, prices have already changed from what they were in the first few days after the opening. You can see the current prices in the official McDonald’s app. Currently, popular menu items at the restaurant in Polyanytsia cost:
- Double Royal Cheeseburger meal — 377 hryvnias instead of 480 hryvnias;
- Big Mac meal — 267 hryvnias instead of 341 hryvnias;
- Big Tasty Single meal — 313 hryvnias instead of 397 hryvnias;
- Double Big Tasty meal — 406 hryvnias instead of 517 hryvnias.
Thus, a Big Mac meal in Bukovel now costs 267 hryvnias. A Double Big Tasty meal costs over 400 hryvnias. At the same time, the app shows that some prices are now lower than the original ones. For example, the Double Royal Cheeseburger meal has been reduced from 480 to 377 hryvnias, and the Big Mac meal from 341 to 267 hryvnias.
It is precisely this price difference compared to other restaurants in the chain that has sparked discussions on social media.
What Will the New McDonald’s Be Like?
The restaurant in Polianytsia became the 131st operating McDonald’s in Ukraine. It is also the chain’s tenth new location to open in Ukraine since the beginning of 2026. The restaurant covers an area of nearly 477 square meters and can accommodate about 280 guests at a time.
Guests can enjoy the usual McDonald’s dining options. Orders can be placed directly at the restaurant, via the mobile app, or through “McDrive.” The dining area is open daily from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. “McDrive” is open longer—from 5:00 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.
How the restaurant operates during an air raid alert
The new McDonald’s also follows the chain’s rules regarding air raid alerts. When the siren sounds, the restaurant ceases operations. Employees and visitors must proceed to a shelter. You may return to the restaurant after the air raid alert has ended and permission to resume operations has been granted.
The opening of the McDonald’s in Polyanytsia was a major event for the resort. At the same time, prices at the new restaurant have already become a topic of discussion, as the cost of some popular menu items here differs significantly from prices at the chain’s locations in other cities.
