There are still 18,000 people in the combat zone in Donetsk Oblast, including children

About 18,000 people, including 6 children, continue to live in the active combat zone in the Donetsk region.

This was reported by the regional military administration.

In total, 154,000 civilians remain in the part of the region controlled by Ukraine, including 8,800 children.

Since early May, more than 5,000 people, including 487 children, have been evacuated or have left on their own. The largest number of evacuees are from the Kramatorsk (2,400) and Sloviansk (1,700) communities.

Forced evacuation of children is ongoing in four settlements. From May 1 to 12, 28 minors were successfully evacuated, most of them from Sloviansk and Mykolaivka.

The main transit route for evacuees runs through the Kharkiv region, which receives 200–250 people daily, and through the Dnipropetrovsk region—up to 15 people per day.
