In the Khmelnytskyi region, the SBU exposed an FSB agent who was planning terrorist attacks against the military
The Security Service of Ukraine has thwarted a series of terrorist attacks in Khmelnytskyi. An FSB agent who was planning to blow up Defense Forces vehicles has been detained in the regional capital.
This was reported by the Security Service of Ukraine.
According to the investigation, the suspect tracked the parking locations of Ukrainian military vehicles, photographed them, and studied nearby surveillance cameras. Based on this information, the enemy planned to infiltrate the parking lots, plant explosives in the vehicles, and detonate them.
The agent was caught red-handed while conducting reconnaissance near a parking lot with the defenders’ vehicles. The investigation revealed that the local resident, recruited by the FSB, came to the enemy’s attention due to pro-Kremlin posts on Odnoklassniki.
She also monitored the Defense Forces’ backup command posts and railway stations with military trains. The agent recorded potential “targets” on camera while holding the phone to her ear, pretending to be on a phone call. During searches, a smartphone containing evidence of collaboration with the enemy was seized.
Investigators informed the detainee that she was suspected of high treason under martial law. The suspect is being held in custody without the right to bail. She faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
The operation was carried out by SBU officers in the Khmelnytskyi region under the procedural guidance of the regional prosecutor’s office.
Earlier, the Counterintelligence Directorate of the Security Service of Ukraine prevented a large-scale explosion in the center of Dnipro by catching a collaborator of Russian special services “red-handed.”
As a reminder, a man was detained in Kyiv for promising to “take care of” someone to help them evade mobilization.
Also, a Russian agent who was planning the assassination of General Biletsky was detained within the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
