In the Kyiv region, a teacher is suspected of sexually assaulting a schoolgirl

A court has ordered pretrial detention for a 29-year-old teacher who committed acts against the sexual freedom and integrity of a 14-year-old girl in the Bila Tserkva region. Child pornography was also found in his possession.

The suspect has been formally detained and placed in a temporary detention facility. This was reported by Andriy Rubel, head of the Kyiv Regional Police, according to the official website of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Kyiv Region.

Investigators from the Kyiv Regional Police Investigation Department, under the procedural supervision of the Kyiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, have notified the suspect that he is suspected of committing sexual acts with a person who had not reached the age of sixteen, and of accessing child pornography, under Part 1 of Article 155 and Part 1 of Article 301-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. During searches and the seizure of physical evidence, law enforcement officers discovered files containing child pornography on the man’s electronic devices. Operational measures and support were provided by officers of the Kyiv Regional Migration Police Department.

Police determined that the suspect worked at the school where the girl was enrolled and had maintained a friendly relationship with the minor. The man communicated with her mainly in the evenings and at night, and also met with her at her home, taking advantage of the absence of adults.

In the city of Lutsk, law enforcement officers exposed a woman suspected of producing and distributing pornographic content featuring her 3-year-old daughter. According to the investigation, the woman used the child to create illegal material and passed it on to another person in exchange for payment.

In Khmelnytskyi, law enforcement officers detained a 50-year-old local resident suspected of committing unlawful acts of a sexual nature against children.
