In the Luhansk region, the occupying forces have begun teaching schoolchildren how to fly drones
In the temporarily occupied Luhansk region, Russian occupation forces are intensifying the militarization of the education system. Schoolchildren and teenagers are being recruited into military-patriotic programs, where they are taught military disciplines and, in particular, how to operate unmanned aerial vehicles.
As of September, more specialized classes of the “Russian Military-Historical Society” had been opened in the so-called “LPR” than in any other region of Russia.
Oleksiy Kharchenko noted that Russian occupiers are using educational institutions to spread Russian military ideology among children.
Schoolchildren and teenagers are enrolled in “Fundamentals of Defending the Motherland” courses, in which they study military disciplines.
Training in the operation of unmanned aerial vehicles has become a separate area of instruction.
“The occupiers are using educational institutions to impose Russian military ideology on children. Schoolchildren and teenagers are being enrolled in ‘Fundamentals of Homeland Defense’ courses, where they are taught military disciplines. A separate area of training is piloting unmanned aerial vehicles,” Kharchenko noted.
According to him, children in the temporarily occupied territories are involved in military-related programs from an early age.
The head of the Luhansk Regional State Administration emphasized that the militarization of education is part of Russia’s systematic policy in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.
This was reported by Oleksiy Kharchenko, head of the Luhansk Regional State Administration.
As a reminder, rates for nearly all utility services will increase in the temporarily occupied territory of Luhansk Oblast starting October 1. The latest increase applies, in particular, to natural gas, the cost of which, according to the Luhansk Regional State Administration, has more than doubled in the four years since the occupation. The new rates will apply to both consumers with meters and those without.
