In the Odesa region, an unknown assailant attacked a TCC servicemember with a knife

In the Odesa region, law enforcement officials are working to identify a man who stabbed a servicemember from the Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Center in Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi.

“On September 26, 2026, in the city of Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi, during emergency drills, an unknown individual stabbed a servicemember of the district recruitment and social support center, after which the assailant fled the scene,” the statement reads.

The victim was immediately transported to a medical facility, where he received the necessary emergency care. The soldier’s condition is stable. He remains under medical supervision.

Law enforcement agencies have launched an immediate investigation and search operation to identify the attacker and apprehend him.

“What makes this crime particularly cynical is the fact that the victim is a combat veteran who was wounded while defending Ukraine on the front lines and was subsequently transferred to the TCC and SP to continue his service,” the TCC noted.

The TCC emphasized that any attacks on the life, health, or honor of servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine while performing their official duties are serious crimes and entail the most severe, inevitable criminal liability.

TCK officials are suspected of carrying out a sham mobilization of 857 people.

A man was not allowed to call his family from the TCC for a week, according to the ombudsman.

A scheme involving the fictitious mobilization of 276 people was uncovered at the Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support; among them were deceased individuals and prisoners.
