In the Odesa region, a drunk deserter threw a grenade at some teenagers
In the city of Podilsk, Odesa Oblast, a 51-year-old servicemember on reserve duty, while intoxicated, threw a grenade at a group of teenagers near a local high school. Prior to this, the man had provoked a conflict, used profanity, and threatened the teenagers with an explosive device.
As a result of the explosion, a 13-year-old boy sustained injuries; he received medical treatment at the scene and was not hospitalized. That same evening, law enforcement officers located and detained the suspect near the scene of the incident and seized fragments of a hand-held fragmentation grenade for forensic analysis.
