Organizer of an illegal border-crossing scheme exposed in Rivne Oblast

Internal security operatives of the State Border Guard Service uncovered a 27-year-old resident of the Sarny District in the Rivne region who had organized the illegal smuggling of two men of draft age into European Union countries outside of official border crossing points.

According to the investigation, the cost of the service was 12,000 U.S. dollars [approximately 498,000 UAH] per person. The organizer found clients, mapped out the route, provided instructions, and arranged for their transportation to the border. Law enforcement officers seized 24,000 U.S. dollars [approximately 996,000 UAH] transferred to the intermediary and included them in the criminal case file.

The suspect has been notified of the charges against him, and the court has ordered him to be held in custody as a preventive measure. Law enforcement is currently identifying other individuals involved in this illegal activity.
