In Transcarpathia, a major traffic accident involving a bus left 13 people injured
A traffic accident involving two passenger cars and a minibus occurred in the Khust District of Zakarpattia Oblast. Thirteen people were injured in the accident, including four children.
The traffic accident involving three vehicles occurred on Saturday, August 1, at approximately 11:25 a.m. in the village of Soimy.
An investigative team was dispatched to the scene of the accident.
During the initial investigation, police preliminarily determined that a 38-year-old woman from Lviv, while driving an Opel Corsa, at a fork in the road, veered into oncoming traffic and collided with a UAZ driven by a 65-year-old resident of the village of Repinne.

The impact threw the UAZ into the oncoming lane, where it collided head-on with a Mercedes-Benz minibus driven by a 58-year-old resident of the Mukachevo district, who was transporting a tour group.
As a result of the accident, 13 people sought medical attention, including four children.
Two people who were in the UAZ vehicle were hospitalized; another female passenger will receive outpatient treatment after receiving medical care.
Ten passengers from the Mercedes-Benz minibus sought medical attention, including three girls aged 7, 13, and 14.
According to the police, “all drivers were tested and found to be sober.”
Police investigators have opened a criminal case regarding this incident under Part 1 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (violation of traffic safety rules resulting in moderate bodily injury to the victim).
The police reported that expert examinations will be conducted to determine the exact circumstances of the accident.
