A drunk ATV driver in the Dnipropetrovsk region struck and killed an 11-year-old girl
In the Dnipro District of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, a 48-year-old man under the influence of alcohol struck an 11-year-old girl while driving an ATV. The child died at the scene from her injuries.
The accident occurred on the evening of August 12. According to the investigation, the driver lost control of the vehicle and struck the child, who was walking along the side of the road.
After the accident, the man did not stop and fled the scene. Law enforcement officers detained him. A blood test revealed a blood alcohol level of 2.9 per mille.
The man has been notified of charges under Part 3 of Article 286-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The issue of imposing a preventive measure in the form of detention without the right to bail is currently being decided.
