A weather forecaster said when warm weather will return to Ukraine

An autumn cold snap has arrived in Ukraine, accompanied by rain. However, the cool weather is not expected to last long—by the end of the week, temperatures are expected to rise to comfortable levels. 

“Cool weather will continue in Ukraine until the end of the week, but starting Friday and Saturday, temperatures are expected to rise to comfortable levels,” noted Natalka Didenko.

According to the meteorologist’s forecast, rain is expected on September 22 in the western, northern, and eastern regions of Ukraine. No significant precipitation is expected in the southern regions or most of the central regions.

It will be coolest in western and northern Ukraine, as well as in the Vinnytsia and Cherkasy regions. Temperatures there will range from +12° to +16°.

In the Poltava, Dnipropetrovsk, and Kirovohrad regions, temperatures are expected to range from +15° to +19°.

In the southern regions, temperatures will reach +20°…+23°, and in the east, +18°…+22°. The highest temperatures are forecast for the Luhansk region—up to +26°.

According to Natalka Didenko, the cool weather will persist until the end of this week. At the same time, starting Friday and Saturday, September 25–26, temperatures are expected to rise to comfortable levels.

The meteorologist notes that the weather in Ukraine is gradually taking on an increasingly autumnal character: temperatures are dropping, and rainfall is increasing.

On the morning of September 22, reports emerged of the first snow in the Carpathians. Photos of the event were posted online by the Carpathian Mountain Rescue Service.

The published photos show that snow has covered the roof of a chapel at the top of the mountain and the surrounding area.

It was also reported that temperatures in the highlands had dropped to -1°.

The weather in Ukraine is beginning to change rapidly—a noticeable cold snap is sweeping across the country, accompanied by rain. As early as tonight, significant precipitation and unusually low temperatures are forecast in some regions following several warm days.

In the third decade of September, Ukraine is expected to experience unstable and rainy weather with fluctuating temperatures and gusty winds. The main deterioration in weather conditions will be caused by an active southern cyclone from the Black Sea, which will affect most regions from September 23 to 25.
