More than three-quarters of the hospitals in Ukraine's capable network are fully autonomous
The Ukrainian Ministry of Health reported that 77% of medical facilities in the resilient network are already fully self-sufficient. They are equipped with the necessary resources to ensure uninterrupted operation during power outages or emergencies, particularly in terms of electricity, heat, and water supply.
According to the ministry, 100% of hospitals in the capable network are equipped with backup generators. In addition, 96% of healthcare facilities have autonomous heating, and 78% have their own water supply sources. Strengthening the autonomy and resilience of the healthcare system remains one of the Ministry of Health’s key priorities.
