The "Fuel Cashback" program has increased cashless payments at gas stations by 12% — Ministry of Economy
The "Fuel Cashback" program contributed to a 12% increase in the share of cashless payments at gas stations.
This was stated by Minister of Economy, Environment, and Agriculture Oleksiy Sobolev.
According to him, the program also helps reduce the shadow economy by encouraging the shift to cashless payments. At the same time, it is funded within the current budget of the Ministry of Economy without requiring additional funds.
Every day, Ukrainians receive about 20 million UAH in cashback for fuel purchases. The maximum payout is limited to 1,000 UAH per user per month.
The program runs from March 20 to May 1, 2026. Funds are automatically credited upon card payment and can be used to pay for utilities, medicines, Ukrainian-made products, books, postal services, or to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The initiative was introduced amid rising fuel prices to support the population.
Why did they offer fuel cashback instead of loweringprices?
Also, diesel prices have dropped; here are the prices at gas stations in Ukraine on March 26.
The Ministry of Economy explained whether the “National Cashback” program will continue in July.
