The Medyka–Shehyni border crossing will partially suspend operations due to repair work

At the Ukrainian-Polish border, the "Medika–Shehyni" border crossing point will temporarily operate with restrictions due to road repairs on the Polish side.

This was reported by the press service of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.

According to the State Border Guard Service, road resurfacing work will last approximately five weeks and will affect both inbound and outbound traffic.

“Attention to citizens planning to cross the border via the ‘Medika–Shehyni’ border crossing point. Due to road resurfacing work on the Polish side, there may be a temporary reduction in traffic capacity,” the statement reads.

Traffic will be organized in stages: while one lane is under repair, traffic will be redirected to the other.

The Polish side also announced additional restrictions: on May 9 and 16, two access lanes to the weigh stations for freight vehicles entering Poland will be temporarily closed.

During this period, trucks will be processed through the lane designated for buses.

Border guards urge drivers and passengers to take these restrictions into account when planning their trips to avoid delays at the border.

Earlier, the State Customs Service of Ukraine reported a significant increase in traffic at the Ukrainian-Polish border
