The Rada supported a bill to decriminalize pornography
The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine passed Bill No. 15294 on first reading, which increases criminal penalties for crimes related to child pornography, and also provides for the decriminalization of the production and distribution of pornographic content among adults. A total of 231 members of parliament voted in favor of the decision.
The bill proposes to increase penalties for the sale and distribution of pornographic materials to minors, the production, storage, acquisition, and distribution of child pornography, the staging of sexual performances involving children, as well as for establishing brothels, pimping, and coercing minors into prostitution.
At the same time, the bill provides for the decriminalization of the production, possession, transportation, transmission, importation, sale, and distribution of pornographic materials among adults.
After its adoption in the first reading, the bill must undergo further revision before being considered in the second reading.

The Verkhovna Rada passed a law expanding the rights of military personnel released on conditional early release from serving their sentences to serve under contract. Bill No. 15225 was supported by 309 members of parliament.
The Verkhovna Rada extended martial law and general mobilization until October 31.
