The History of Journalist Day in Ukraine
Journalist Day was established by a Decree of the President of Ukraine in 1994. June 6 was chosen as the date for the holiday because it was on this day in 1992 that the Union of Journalists of Ukraine was admitted to the International Federation of Journalists.
