A Kyiv resident was arrested in Kyiv for committing lewd acts against a 10-year-old girl
In the Dnipro district of the capital, law enforcement officers detained a 47-year-old man suspected of committing lewd acts against a 10-year-old child.
The incident occurred in an apartment where the girl’s parents had invited the suspect to join them in drinking alcohol.
According to the investigation, the victim’s parents had met the man, a resident of a neighboring building, on the street. After the gathering, the intoxicated guest was left to spend the night in the apartment, where the hosts’ underage daughter was sleeping in a separate room.
In the early morning, taking advantage of the fact that the adults were fast asleep, the man entered the child’s room and committed unlawful acts against her.
The girl was frightened, tried to wake her parents, and later locked herself in her room. Only in the morning, after the guest had left the apartment, was she able to tell her relatives everything, and they called the police.
The suspect was unable to explain his actions due to severe intoxication—a breathalyzer test recorded a blood alcohol level of 2.6 ��
Currently, the Child Welfare Service has decided to immediately remove the girl from her family due to the dangerous environment and her parents’ alcohol abuse.
Juvenile prosecutors from the Dnipro District Prosecutor’s Office in Kyiv have already notified the suspect of the charges, and the court has ordered him to be held in custody.
