An AI-generated hoax about Indians at the TCC has been circulating online

An AI-generated hoax about Indians at the TCC has been circulating online

Images generated by artificial intelligence, which were used to discredit the mobilization, have been discovered on social media. Analysis confirmed that the photos purportedly showing “Indians at the TCC” are fake and were created using neural networks. This was reported by the Center for Strategic Communications on May 27.

Messages are circulating online claiming that there are Indians among TCC employees, but this information is not true—the images being shared turned out to be generated by artificial intelligence.

False: “Indians have appeared among TCC employees.” Such photos are being circulated online. In reality: the images were generated using artificial intelligence, according to the report.

An image analysis check using the Hive Moderation service showed a high probability of AI generation, the VoxCheck team noted.

This is also indicated by the blurry text on the armband. Neural networks often generate poor-quality text on images.

Russian propaganda regularly uses similar posts to discredit mobilization and spread provocative content on social media, the Center for Strategic Communications concluded.

As a reminder, the organizer of a scheme to smuggle draft dodgers out of the country for $12,000 was detained in Kyiv.

Also, an employee of the TCC in Chernihiv Oblast was detained for bribery.
