NATO is impressed by Ukrainian combat robots due to their rapid adaptability
Ukrainian combat robots are impressing NATO partners with their ability to quickly adapt to changes on the front lines.
This is reported by Business Insider.
It is noted that the Ukrainian company DevDroid regularly updates the software for robotic systems, allowing for the rapid addition of new features and improved performance.
Updates can occur every few weeks, and in some cases, almost instantly. Developers test new solutions together with the military and quickly implement them in combat conditions.
In addition to software updates, major hardware upgrades are conducted approximately every six months, specifically to increase operational range and combat capabilities.
Engineers work directly near the front lines—repairing, upgrading, and evacuating damaged systems.
Feedback from the military plays a key role in technological development, allowing for a rapid response to needs and the refinement of equipment.
NATO acknowledges that it should adopt Ukraine’s experience, particularly its so-called “DNA of adaptation.”
Over the past three months, robotic systems have carried out more than 22,000 missions, and Ukraine plans to significantly expand their use on the front lines.
Recently, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine certified and approved for use in the Armed Forces of Ukraine three fiber-optic FPV systems manufactured by enterprises of JSC “Ukrainian Defense Industry.”
Prior to this, the Ministry of Defense had codified and approved the domestic unmanned aerial system “Volynia” for use in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
