Silpo, Fora, and Thrash Announce the Date for the Resumption of Goods Deliveries Following the Russian Attack

As a result of Russian shelling on the night of August 5, four Fozzy Group distribution centers were damaged, causing significant logistical challenges and a temporary shortage of certain goods in the Silpo, Fora, and Thrash! chains. The company emphasized that it suffered significant material losses, but the greatest loss was the deaths of its employees.

The retailer is currently urgently restructuring its logistics chains and expects to fully restore normal supermarket shelf stocking by Independence Day, August 24.

Fozzy Group reported this to “Suspilne.”

The “Silpo” and “Fora” supermarket chains, which are part of Fozzy Group, experienced temporary disruptions in the supply of goods following the Russian strike on warehouse and logistics infrastructure in the Kyiv region on August 5.

The State Property Fund of Ukraine has already begun inspecting the warehouse facilities of state-owned enterprises to find space for companies that lost their logistics facilities due to Russian attacks. Preliminary estimates suggest several hundred thousand square meters, but how much of that space can actually be made available to businesses will become clear after on-site inspections.

On the night of July 19, Russian troops launched a ballistic missile strike on Kyiv. One person was killed and eight others were injured as a result of the attack. Damage and fires were reported in five districts of the capital.

Throughout the day on July 17, Russian forces launched strikes on Kharkiv and 29 other settlements in the Kharkiv region. Two people were killed and 18 others were injured in the shelling; among the injured were five children.
