Ukraine could produce millions of FPV drones each year — Zelenskyy
The president stated that Ukraine’s defense industry has the capacity to produce millions of FPV drones per year.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced this in an address marking Ukrainian Gunsmith Day.
“The capabilities of Ukraine’s defense industry mean millions of FPV drones per year; they mean our deep-strike weapons, our interceptors, and millions of shells. Ukraine has its own long-range missile weapons. And not just prototypes, but real power that is already operational. ‘Flamingo’ and ‘Ruta,’ ‘Peklo’ and ‘Neptune,’ ‘Palyanytsia,’ ‘Vilha’—we can already be proud of all of this, but we certainly won’t stop here,” he said.
Zelenskyy assured that these are only Ukraine’s first steps and promised that the industry will continue to develop.
“The enemy will feel this. Everyone sees the historic range of our drones—1,750 kilometers from our border. There will be more. This isn’t about records, but about justice that will find evil anywhere in the world, and our ‘Sich’, ‘Luty’, ‘Morok’, ‘Bars’, ‘Obriy’, and FP are proof of this,” the President stated.
He expressed his conviction that the future is already on the battlefield, and that Ukraine is shaping it.
“These are our ground-based robotic systems. For the first time in the history of this war, an enemy position was captured exclusively by unmanned platforms—robotic systems and drones. The occupiers surrendered, and this operation was carried out without the involvement of infantry and without any losses on our side. "Ratel," "Termit," "Ardal," "Lynx," "Zmiy," "Protector," "Volya," and our other URCs have already carried out more than 22,000 missions on the front lines in just three months. In other words, lives have been saved more than 22,000 times—a robot went into the most dangerous zones instead of a soldier. This is about high technology protecting the highest value—human life,” Zelenskyy noted.
The President expressed confidence that Ukrainian missiles, unmanned systems, interceptors, strike and maritime drones, reconnaissance vehicles, artillery, ammunition, armored vehicles, robotic systems, and more — everything that today is truly and proudly called “Ukraine’s weapons”—protects Ukraine’s skies, Ukrainian cities and villages, saves lives, and proves that “Made in Ukraine” is synonymous with “effective and powerful.”
Zelensky emphasized that every new Ukrainian development brings us closer to a lasting and dignified peace.
“Our defense industry has become completely different—new, strong. We preserve all the traditions of our industry. We work in a modern way. That is why our weapons are effective, that is why they are known and respected around the world. And every new Ukrainian development brings us closer to peace. Our peace. A lasting, dignified one,” he stated.
