Ukraine has purchased 70 ATACMS ballistic missiles from Turkey
Ukraine purchased a weapons package from Turkey that included 70 ATACMS missiles, 12 M270 multiple launch rocket systems, 2,524 M26 missiles, and 47,000 203-mm M509A1 cluster artillery shells.
This is evidenced by documents from the U.S. State Department.
It is noted that the deliveries include:
- 12 M270 MLRS;
- 70 M39 ATACMS missiles;
- 2,524 M26 rockets;
- 47,000 203-mm M509A1 cluster munitions.

Turkey has begun restricting the movement of some commercial vessels heading toward the Black Sea due to an increase in attacks in the region. Some vessels bound for Novorossiysk, Russia, or Ukrainian ports are facing delays in obtaining permits to pass through the Dardanelles.
On August 7, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, and Turkey signed a mutual defense agreement in Mecca. The agreement stipulates that an armed attack on any one of the three states will be considered an attack on all three countries.
