A shooting occurred in Ivano-Frankivsk
In Ivano-Frankivsk, law enforcement officers carried out a special operation to apprehend a man who opened fire on another driver in the middle of the street.
The incident occurred on Puliu Street, where a routine dispute between drivers nearly ended in tragedy.
The police were notified of the incident by a bystander who witnessed the aggressive behavior of one of the men.
According to the witness, a conflict broke out between the two drivers, during which one of the men pulled out an object resembling a pistol.
The perpetrator did not limit himself to words and threats but fired a shot at the other citizen. Immediately afterward, the shooter got behind the wheel of his car and sped away from the scene in an unknown direction.
The patrol police immediately launched an intercept operation and issued an alert to all city patrols. Thanks to their swift response, one of the patrols located the vehicle matching the description and blocked its path in another part of the city.
Given that the suspect was armed and dangerous, the police officers readied their service firearms.
Law enforcement officers acted with the utmost caution and professionalism to avoid accidental casualties among bystanders during the apprehension.
One possible cause of the terrorist attack that occurred in Kyiv on April 18 could have been a domestic dispute that provoked the attacker to carry out the attack. At the same time, final conclusions will be drawn after all forensic examinations are completed.

The attack took place on Saturday, April 18, when 58-year-old Dmytro Vasylchenkov opened fire on passersby on Demiivska Street, after which he took hostages at the “Velmart” supermarket. As a result of the attack, six people were killed, and about 15 others were injured to varying degrees.
