The Presidential Office stated: There will be no negotiations on Ukraine until the war with Iran ends

The political-military track of the peace talks has been suspended due to the war in the Middle East. The humanitarian track remains active.

This was announced on television by Mikhail Podolyak, an adviser to the Office of the President.

“The political-military part of the negotiations is on hold, while the humanitarian part continues to operate. The President and Budanov have announced the possibility of resuming prisoner exchanges, and, accordingly, this part of the work is ongoing,” Podolyak noted.

According to him, “as long as the war in the Middle East continues, negotiations regarding the war in Ukraine will remain on hold.”

Podolyak also noted that attitudes toward Russia are irreversibly changing in Middle Eastern countries due to its support for Iran.

“It is now catastrophically completing its evolution from a neutral-positive attitude to an openly negative one,” said the adviser to the Office of the President.

As a reminder, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy invited the U.S. negotiating delegation to visit Kyiv for talks.

The U.S. and Iran have yet to reach an agreement, even after a new round of talks. The parties remain far apart, and experts say a full-fledged agreement is unlikely.
