Stamps have been issued in Ukraine to support prisoners of war and those missing in action
On Ukraine’s Independence Day, a postage stamp issue titled “We Are Waiting!” was released, dedicated to Ukrainians who are being held captive or are considered missing in action. The official ceremony was held by the Coordination Headquarters in collaboration with JSC “Ukrposhta.”
The new stamp issue consists of two stamps. A special cancellation ceremony for the stamps also took place during the event.
The issue is dedicated to Ukrainian prisoners of war, persons missing under special circumstances, and their families.

The stamp issue includes two stamps: “Stork. Freedom” by artist Nikita Titov and “Herald of Goodness” by artist Andriy Yermolenko.
“The story of this stamp issue began in April with an open competition. A total of 195 sketches were submitted from various regions of Ukraine, seven of which made it to the finals. The final selection was made by Ukrainians themselves during a nationwide vote on the “Diya” app, in which 328,788 people participated,” the statement reads.
This was reported with reference to the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War.
