The High Anti-Corruption Court allowed Chernyshov to remove his electronic ankle monitor

The High Anti-Corruption Court partially granted the motion filed by the prosecutor of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office to extend the procedural obligations imposed on former Deputy Prime Minister Oleksiy Chernyshov.

The court lifted one of the obligations imposed on him—wearing an electronic ankle monitor. At the same time, other procedural restrictions on the former official remain in effect.

The decision was made as part of the proceedings in the case in which Chernyshov has been charged.

VAKS Investigating Judge Viktor Nogachevsky decided not to extend Chernyshov’s obligation to wear an electronic monitoring device. The electronic ankle monitor will be removed from him in the near future.

At the same time, the court upheld other procedural obligations. Specifically, Chernyshov must:

  • report any change of residence or employment;
  • appear when summoned by a detective, prosecutor, or the court;
  • refrain from communicating with Timur Mindich, Oleksandr Zuckerman, and a number of other individuals involved in the case;
  • surrender his passport.

This was reported by the Anti-Corruption Action Center.

Chernyshov commented for the first time on the charges against him regarding the laundering of 460 million hryvnias.

The High Anti-Corruption Court has extended the procedural obligations for former Deputy Prime Minister Oleksiy Chernyshov—who is implicated in anti-corruption investigations by NABU and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office—until June 8, 2026. These include a series of restrictions that remain in effect during the pre-trial investigation.
