The High Anti-Corruption Court confiscated luxury cars worth over 7 million hryvnias from MP Litvinenko
The High Anti-Corruption Court ruled that the assets of MP Serhiy Litvinenko were of unjustified origin and ordered the value of three luxury vehicles to be forfeited to the state.
The vehicles in question are a 2020 Toyota Land Cruiser 200, a BMW 730LD, and a BMW X5, with a total value of over 7.2 million hryvnias.
The lawsuit was filed based on lifestyle monitoring materials conducted by the National Agency for Corruption Prevention (NAZK), as well as evidence gathered by the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office.
According to the investigation, in 2020–2021, the vehicles were registered to individuals associated with the MP, specifically his unofficial drivers; however, the MP himself actually used them, including to enter the territory of the Verkhovna Rada.
The NACP stated that neither the MP nor the individuals associated with him had legal income to purchase such assets.
The decision may still be appealed.
