The United Kingdom Will Strengthen Ukraine's Air Defense Ahead of Winter — Burnham
The United Kingdom will step up its support for Ukraine’s air defense ahead of winter. Prime Minister Andy Burnham made this announcement during a visit to Kyiv on August 24.
Burnam arrived in the Ukrainian capital to mark Independence Day. This visit marked his first trip abroad since being appointed head of the British government.
During his speech in Kyiv, he compared Ukraine’s struggle against Russian aggression to the United Kingdom’s fight for European freedom in the 20th century.
According to the British prime minister, London intends to continue supporting Kyiv despite threats from Moscow. In particular, the United Kingdom will contribute to strengthening Ukraine’s air defense system before the onset of winter.
Burnam emphasized that Ukraine continues to fight today for the freedom of all of Europe.
