A KRAKEN veteran is under investigation for possible involvement in a murder in Bali
Ukrainian law enforcement officials are investigating the possible involvement of Gleb Novostroyny, a veteran of the KRAKEN unit, in the murder of Igor Komarov in Indonesia. According to sources, the investigation has established that Novostroyny was on the island of Bali during the same period as Denis Galushko, who has been placed on an international wanted list.
At that time, Indonesian investigative authorities officially notified Galushko that he was suspected of murdering Igor Komarov.
A source speaking to UP notes that after returning from Bali, Novostroyny did not leave his home for about two weeks and had virtually no contact with anyone.
Novostroyny was detained in Kyiv on July 30 on suspicion of offenses under other articles of the Criminal Code. The court imposed a preventive measure in the form of nighttime house arrest.
At the same time, after investigators seized Novostroyny’s cell phone, they found evidence of his stay in Bali and his possible involvement in the brutal murder of Komarov.

Bali police have determined that the abduction of Ukrainian citizen Igor Komarov was a meticulously planned crime.
Igor Komarov, whom the media describe as the son of an influential businessman from Dnipro, disappeared on February 15, 2026, near the village of Jimbaran. Subsequently, horrific video footage began to appear online: in the footage, a beaten Komarov begged his relatives to transfer $10 million for his release.
The prolonged search for 28-year-old Ukrainian citizen Igor Komarov ended with official confirmation of his death. The results of the forensic medical examination and DNA analysis conducted at the National Forensic Center in Jakarta proved that the dismembered remains found on February 26 near Ketewel Beach belonged to him.
