They shoved a man into a van and then left him to die: two TCC soldiers have been charged
In Dnipro, two military personnel from the regional recruitment center have been notified that they are suspected of unlawfully depriving a man of mobilization age of his liberty. One of them is also charged with leaving a person in danger.
This was reported by the National Police of Ukraine.
According to the investigation, three servicemen from one of the regional recruitment centers stopped a man on the street during activities to notify and verify military registration data. Under the pretext of checking his documents, they forcibly pushed him into a service vehicle.
Inside the vehicle, according to law enforcement, they intimidated the man and subjected him to psychological pressure. His condition subsequently deteriorated sharply, but instead of providing assistance, the soldiers pushed the victim out of the vehicle near a dumpster and drove away.
The man was hospitalized in critical condition.
Law enforcement officials have identified three military personnel as being involved in the incident. Two of them have already been notified of suspicion under Part 2 of Article 146 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (unlawful deprivation of liberty or kidnapping). One of the suspects, who served as a rifleman-medic, is additionally charged under Part 3 of Article 135 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (leaving a person in danger).
A notice of suspicion is being prepared for another suspect. The investigation is ongoing.
