Zelenskyy Announced Important Agreements with Germany During Merz's Visit
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that important agreements and decisions are being prepared between Ukraine and Germany, aimed at strengthening the defense capabilities of Ukraine and all of Europe. The Head of State made this announcement during German Federal Chancellor Friedrich Merz’s visit to Kyiv on October 4.
The Ukrainian leader thanked Germany for its assistance and stressed the need for joint action to counter military aggression, emphasizing that Russia must be stopped through joint efforts.

German Chancellor Friedrich Merz arrived by train in the Ukrainian capital on Sunday, October 4, on an unannounced visit. Immediately upon arrival, the head of the German government reaffirmed Germany’s continued unwavering support for Ukraine on the eve of what will be the fifth winter amid a full-scale war.
Prior to this, German Chancellor Merz stated that Moscow was not ready for negotiations.
