Zelenskyy: Easing sanctions would bolster Russia's military capabilities
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy warned that lifting sanctions against Russia could provide the Kremlin with additional resources. According to him, these funds could be used to recruit military personnel and supply Russia with drones, thereby strengthening its military capabilities.
The head of state made this statement in an interview with Le Monde, citing his Telegram channel.
"Will they (Russia—ed.) decide to launch a major mobilization? I can’t say. So far, they’ve been afraid of such steps and have only been hiring people for big money. Why are we reacting so sensitively to the lifting of sanctions? Because it’s money. And money isn’t just tanks. No one fights with tanks anymore. Money means drones. Money means people. People mean contracts. And if they don’t have money for contracts, their forces diminish,” the President stated.
Zelenskyy emphasized that historically, the Russians are losing.
"They are currently losing a staggering number of people—30,000 to 35,000 people a month. Russia can’t keep up with mobilizing, signing contracts, and certainly can’t keep up with training its people," the head of state said.
Russia blackmailed the U.S., demanding it stop sharing intelligence with Ukraine — Zelenskyy.
Meanwhile, U.S. House Speaker Mike Johnson stated on March 25 that the “Epic Fury” military operation against Iran is nearing its conclusion.
