Zelenskyy arrived in France for the G7 summit
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has arrived in the French city of Evian to attend the Group of Seven (G7) summit.
According to reports, the president will soon arrive at the hotel hosting the summit, where he will be met by French President Emmanuel Macron.
A working meeting is scheduled within the G7 framework, featuring Zelenskyy and the leaders of the “Big Seven,” dedicated to the topic of “ensuring peace and security for Ukraine and Europe.”
Separately, the President of Ukraine will hold a series of bilateral meetings, including with:
- the Prime Minister of Canada;
- the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom;
- the Chancellor of Germany;
- the Managing Director of the IMF.
It is also reported that Zelenskyy had previously announced an agreement to meet with U.S. President Donald Trump.
The G7 summit traditionally focuses on issues of global security, economic stability, and support for Ukraine amid the ongoing war.
This was announced by the head of state’s spokesperson, Serhiy Nikiforov.
U.S. President Donald Trump arrived in the French city of Evian-les-Bains on June 15 to participate in the G7 summit. The G7 leaders’ meeting will take place June 15–17 under France’s chairmanship. Among the summit’s main topics are support for Ukraine, international security issues, and global geopolitical challenges.
