Zelenskyy established the Vozdvizhiv Military Administration in Zaporizhzhia Oblast

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a decree establishing the Vozdvizhivska Rural Military Administration in the Polohivsky District of Zaporizhzhia Oblast and approved the appointment of its head. 

The decision to establish this new governing body was made in accordance with the Law of Ukraine “On the Legal Regime of Martial Law.” According to the published document, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Zaporizhzhia Regional State Administration have been granted official authority to carry out all necessary organizational measures related to the immediate deployment and operation of the newly established military administration.

A separate decree by the head of state, No. 70/2026-rp, resolved personnel issues to ensure leadership of the administrative body in the Polohivsky District. The President appointed Valerii Denysenko as head of the Vozdvizhivska Rural Military Administration. The official will assume his duties upon the decree’s entry into force and will coordinate security, humanitarian, and administrative processes in the community while martial law is in effect.
